MY REIKI JOURNEY

I have the honour and privilege to call myself a Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher.  I first got 'attuned' to Reiki in 2006, to see if Reiki was genuine and soon realized that it was, as I practiced on friends and family.  At this time, I was only using Reiki on myself occasionally, not really appreciating the huge difference it could make to my health if I spent a little time self-healing daily.  Over the last 7 (now in 2020) years I have worked with the energy on a daily basis, as I now recognize the incredible positive impact it can have on my life, and the life of those around me.  This is why I am so passionate in teaching Reiki to others.  Passionate to show them what is already inside themselves, what we are all capable of, if they just take the time to look!

I have completed my training to Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher now with 4 different schools of Reiki.  I had one 'Reiki Master Teacher' whose teachings were poor, and misguided, she taught me nothing energetically (Reiki is an energetic practice) and charged me £1000 for a 1 day Masters Class!!  This learning curve enabled me to see how the title of 'Reiki Master', in fact, means very little here in the West!  And that the amount you pay does not guarantee you anything!  So this dear lady whilst appreciated as part of my journey, is not included in my list of Reiki Teachers.

So, my first 'teacher' was Simon Bailey at Navitas Centre (one of Simon's teachers is Frans Stiene, International House of Reiki) I trained fully in both Western and Original/Traditional Japanese Reiki with Simon, so that I may teach both styles, giving students more choice.  At the same time I started training with Taggart King (Reiki Evolution).  A mix of both Western and Japanese Reiki Traditions, taught in one class.  Interesting to see how the 2 styles can come together, giving more depth to my understanding of energy healing. And finally I completed a Masters Course with William Lee Rand, President of The International Centre for Reiki Training, where I trained in Holy Fire and Karuna Reiki III, which is believed to be an extension on Usui's Reiki, now that the planet is able to work with more refined energies.  There is nothing wrong in learning different styles as long as you know what is original Usui and explain this fully to your students.

Lineages

Going back to Taggart, the most direct transmission from Taggart after himself is Chris Marsh, then Suzuki San (Buddhist nun) and then Usui himself.  So WOW!!  Having incredible teachers, I know what I teach is about as close as you can get in the West for teaching Original Japanese Reiki - Usui Reiki Ryoho. I have been teaching very successfully now since July 2013.  For further information on Lineage, see under the tab 'All About Reiki'.

A Simple Practice

Reiki has become a huge part of my life because of the many health benefits on all levels that you can receive from this simple practice of energy work. Unlike other energy work, it does not use your energy, but a Universal energy that is all around us and it is incredibly simple to tap into.  All you need to do, is know how to connect with this energy, and this is something a Reiki teacher can help you with.

So if you would like to make changes in your life, then why not give Reiki a try, you won't be disappointed! It is very easy to learn, it just takes a little daily practice/commitment to start building your energy so that you are a good channel for healing. As is true with most things, and certainly true of Reiki, you will get out of it, what you put into it!

My aim is to help people to understand what Reiki is really all about and what it can do for them and those around them.

Many Thanks, Love and Blessings

I would like to give my thanks and gratitude, firstly to a group of much respected Reiki Masters, who if it wasn't for their tireless research, time, passion and commitment given to Reiki, I would not have the knowledge about Reiki that I have today and am able to share.

Thanks firstly to Frank Arjava Petter for his earlier correspondence and supporting me and helping me to understand 'The Byosen'; Frans and Bronwen Stiene (where would I be without Bronwen's cd's) and I had the pleasure of meeting Frans in November 2015 for a Reiki Play Day in the Cotswolds and again in June 2018 for an Intensive Meditation Day in Cromwell near Buxton; Taggart King from Reiki Evolution, thank you for your incredible Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden cds and manuals and Monday 'Empowerments', and now for supporting me on my journey as Reiki Master Teacher.

I would like to show thanks and respect to my first Reiki Master Teacher, Jane Scullion who introduced me to Reiki and started me of on this wonderful journey and to one of my current Reiki Master Teachers, Simon Bailey at Navitas Centre, who has showed me what Reiki is really all about.

I thank William Lee Rand for showing me another aspect of Reiki in Holy Fire, and to the many wonderful friends I have made along the way. I truly love you all ...

And a huge thank you for those training alongside me, attending support groups and training classes, year after year, putting in their time and dedication to developing their own ability to channel energy for the good of themselves and others.

And very importantly my mum for asking when my health was going down hill 'Why aren't you reiking yourself?', That one simple question turned my life around and led me back to Reiki, back home to finding my 'true self'.  Thank you so much mum.

And finally a very special thank you to Mikao Usui, Our Father and Founder of Reiki ... Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you truly are a wonderful inspiration and 'light' to all of us.

Love, Light and Many Blessings, Natalie xox
