My Reiki Journey

I have the honour and privilege to call myself a Reiki Master & Teacher.  I was trained, and continue to train in the Usui System of Natural Healing (Usui Reiki Ryoho).  I first got 'attuned' to Reiki in 2006, to see if Reiki was genuine and soon realized that it was, as I practiced on friends and family.  At this time, I was only using Reiki on myself occasionally, not really appreciating  the huge difference it could make to my health if I self-healed daily.  Over the last 5 years I have worked with the energy on a daily basis, as I now recognize the incredible positive impact it can have in my life, and the life of those around me.  This is why I am so passionate in teaching Reiki to others.

I have completed my training to Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher now with 3 different schools of Reiki.  Although I actually had one 'Reiki Master Teacher' before Simon, but unfortunately her teachings were very poor, she taught me nothing energetically and charged me £1000 for a 1 day (no follow on support) Masters Class!!  This enabled me to see how the title of 'Reiki Master' in fact means very little herein the West!  And that the amount you pay does not guarantee you a good teacher!

So, really my first teacher was Simon Bailey at Navitas Centre (one of Simon's teachers is Frans Stiene, International House of Reiki) I trained fully in both Western and Original/Traditional Japanese Reiki, so that I may teach both styles, giving students more choice.  The second with Taggart King (Reiki Evolution) A mix of both Western and Japanese Reiki Traditions.  The third with William Lee Rand, President of The International Centre for Reiki Training, where I trained in Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki, which is an extension on Usui's Reiki, now that the planet is able to work with more refined energies.

Going back to Taggart, the most direct transmission from Taggart after himself, Chris Marsh, then Suzuki San (Buddhist nun) and then Usui himself. So having 2 incredible teachers, I know what I teach is about as close as you can get in the West for teaching Original Japanese Reiki. Prior to this I had another teacher who passed me for Mastership in 2013, though it didn't take me long to realize that she did not fully understand energy work, so whilst I had already started teaching, I decided to retrain. I have been teaching very successfully since July 2013.  For further information on Lineage, see under the tab 'All About Reiki'.

I first got interested in Reiki some 14 years ago, when I started my training, and I continue training to this day in both Western and Original Japanese Reiki, as your training really never ends!

Reiki has become a huge part of my life because of the many health benefits on all levels that you can receive from the simple practice of energy work. Unlike other energy work, it does not use your energy, but a Universal energy that is all around us and it is incredibly simple to tap into, with what we call an attunement or an empowerment, a Reiju (which is actually a spiritual offering/blessing) ... So if you would like to make changes in your life, then why not give it a try, you won't be disappointed! It is very easy to learn, it just takes a little daily practice/commitment to start building your energy so that you are a good channel for healing. As is true with most things, and certainly true of Reiki, you will get out of it, what you put into it!

My aim is to help people to understand what Reiki is really all about and what it can do for them and those around them. I keep my prices for courses as affordable as possible, as you are not paying for Reiki, you are paying for my time. Besides the Western Hands-on healing Reiki, Original Japanese Reiki is really about self-Healing and Spiritual Development, but you can still do plenty of hands-on healing if you so choose.

Many Thanks, Love and Blessings

I would like to give thanks, firstly to a group of much respected Reiki Masters, who if it wasn't for their tireless research, time, passion and commitment given to Reiki, I would not have the knowledge about Reiki that I have today and am able to share. Thanks firstly to Frank Arjava Petter for his earlier correspondence and supporting me and helping me to understand 'The Byosen'; Frans and Bronwen Stiene (where would I be without Bronwen's cd's) and I had the pleasure of meeting Frans in November 2015 for a Reiki Play Day in the Cotswolds and again in June 2018 for an Intensive Meditation Day in Cromwell near Buxton; Taggart King from Reiki Evolution, thank you for your incredible Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden cds and manuals and Monday 'Empowerments', and now for supporting me on my journey as Reiki Master Teacher ...  I would like to show thanks and respect to my first Reiki Master Teacher, Jane Scullion who introduced me to Reiki and started me of on this wonderful journey and to one of my current Reiki Master Teachers, Simon Bailey at Navitis Centre, who has showed me what Reiki is really all about ... I thank William Lee Rand for showing me another aspect of Reiki in Holy Fire, and to the many wonderful friends I have made along the way ... I truly love you all ...and thank you to my student's for attending the classes/groups week after week, putting in the work to develop their own ability to channel energy, and for believing in me, themselves and the Universe.  And very importantly my mum for asking when my health was going down hill 'Why aren't you reiking yourself?', that one simple question turned my life around and led me back to Reiki. Thank you mum. And very finally a very special thank you to Mikao Usui, Our Father and Founder of Reiki ... Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you truly are a wonderful inspiration to all of us.   Love, Light and Many Blessings, Natalie xox
